The main idea of the play lies in the fact that every male has a part of femininity and every female has a side of masculinity. This play highlights the in depth relationship of male and female, love, selfishness, and ebb and flow of emotion.When males turn into female and behave like women with their wives this whole scenario creates situational humour and comedy that entertains the audience and also gives the philosophical aspect to the defined men-women relationship. The play ‘Uska Beta’ has been written by a famous Spanish writer ‘Feol De Almedia’. The theme of the play is based on the storyline wherein an emotional depiction of a mother’s love towards her son is undertaken. She waits for her son who is to arrive after 20 years from Jammu and Kashmir as he works in the Indian army. But the tragic aspect is that her son had already died 10 years ago and that the son doesn’t returns rather a message of death arrives with his chilhood friend who also belongs to the army. The play enriches the love of a mother towards his son and holds the audience spell bound till the end where the mother loses her life waiting for his son.
