About Us

Leela literally means a play. Leela is a concept within Hinduism literally meaning "pastime", "sport" or "play".

Leela theatre society is a team of creative minds, enthusiastic energies, who are professionals in their diversified fields. They are successful Artists, Engineers, Choreographers, Managers, Animators, and Psychologists.

All the team members are young intellectuals who are aware of their social responsibilities towards the society and love to spread social awareness by using the strong medium of communication, i.e. Theatre. The group has performed various social and professional plays at National and State level and performs one annual production per year.

Leela conducts theatre workshops in schools “Theatre in Education” including conversion of books in theatre and making education for children more fun-filled and interesting. After working successfully in the field of theatre for 15 years, the group has taken a step ahead and has formed an identity “Leela Theatre Society”, and given several Block-Buster performances across the country. Leela and its members love and worship theatre and strongly believe in giving their best on stage.

Our Mission?

"Leela" is an initiative taken where theatre skills are used to dig out the immense potentials within the well of an individual. The aim is to provide a space to young talents for improving their strengths and potency, to fill the blanks of capacity by inculcating the capabilities to kick off the hurdles in the path of success.

By breaking the shackles of classroom environment & bringing in the creativity, fun & playful activities, meaning "Khel Khel Main Badlo Duniya" i.e. doors are shut for the boring lectures. It is the need of hour, that youth should realize their capability to bring a change in society through freedom of expression. And LEELA provides that PLATFORM even for those who take theatre as their future career but are left behind due to the lack of the rain of opportunities, training & proper guidance.

Leela "The Magical Theatre Society" visualises to step up a theatre repertory in Rajasthan in coming future. Leela looks forward to make theatre, not only an obsolete vocation but an industry that will become an essential part of contemporary society and to reach to the depths of Indian culture. Theatre which bears the fruit of creativity will be respected where doors of opportunities will be open and talents will be promoted. Leela is an active organisation which actively attempts to take theatre to new heights within the various aspects of our culture and gives world class productions.
